Grief
Grief emerged from a deeply personal season in Linda Davis’s life following the loss of her husband — a moment that became both a rupture and a creative awakening. Through collage, Davis began transforming fragments of memory, emotion, symbolism, and surreal imagery into visual meditations on loss, resilience, healing, and transformation.
Rather than documenting grief literally, this collection explores, in chronological order, its emotional landscape: disorientation, longing, beauty, isolation, reflection, and the quiet process of becoming someone new after profound change. Layered with torn textures, dreamlike compositions, and symbolic figures, each piece holds tension between sorrow and hope — darkness and reinvention.
